Our link to the RIVM’s Distance to Sports Facilities dataset provides you with detailed information about how far residents are on average from various types of sports locations. This dataset offers valuable insights for livability analyses, policy-making, and location choices for sports infrastructure.
The data are based on calculations by the RIVM and the Mulier Institute and are available at various levels, such as municipality, district, and neighborhood.
Examples of data points we collect:
- Average distance (in km) to various sports facilities, per municipality
- Various sports facilities (such as fitness, tennis, soccer, hockey, golf, etc.)
- Year of survey
The dataset is part of the Mulier Institute’s sports provision database (DSA) and is updated annually.
