Soil map
Direct access to soil structure and soil types
Our link to the BRO Soil Map (SGM) gives you direct access to essential soil data to a depth of 1.2 meters, at a scale of 1:50,000. This dataset provides insight into the spatial distribution of soil types and the structure of soil profiles. Thanks to this integration, you have access to validated, nationwide soil data that is crucial for location analyses, risk assessments, and spatial planning.
Examples of data points we collect:
- Soil types and texture classes (such as sand, clay, peat)
- Profile structure per layer (thickness, color, organic matter content)
- Foundation and growth site suitability (e.g., sand occurrence, water storage capacity)
- Hydrological and ecological characteristics (such as permeability or soil sensitivity)
- Derived profile information for modeling soil-water systems
- Spatial location and legend information per unit on the map
What is it suitable for?
The Soil Map is ideally suited for analyses at the national to regional level, such as:
- Soil suitability and vulnerability
- Landscape planning and nature development
- Assessment of foundation suitability and growth site quality
- Spatial planning and planning
This is just a selection of the available soil characteristics. Through integration with the BRO Soil Map, we can seamlessly process detailed soil data into your real estate or valuation environment. This gives you insight into underground risks and opportunities, enabling you to make better-informed decisions about location choice, suitability for construction, and sustainable use of space.
